a peek on the future...

I've just finished reading a blog entry from Mister Mom, as he called himself. Instead of the father working in the office, providing all the family needs, he is a stay-at-home husband who does all the house chores and all the baby works. From the society's perspective, the Daddy's in our life is the boss while our moms bake, clean, and basically take care of everything. But due to hard times, both parents go to work to have both ends meet. Apparently, our children are left with yaya's which personalities we barely knew. Growing up, their first word might be "ya-ya" instead of "ma-ma" or "da-da". Even when they need something, it is still their yaya's they search for.

With that situation slightly occuring to me (cause I know that eventually, Matthew will grow up), i made a pact to myself that i will work as much as I can now that I'm still young. Then put up a Day CAre Center when i reach my 30's and the rest will follow. I want to be the one to prepare baon for Matthew when he starts school, I want to be there when he takes his first day, fetch him, be the first to know what happened in class and just simply being there when he rants and raves.

i definitely think that when we surround our children with love, encouragement and guidance, they will apply that on their lives until they grow up and eventually be successful.

And i will surely be present on stage when it's MAtthew's turn to receive his Cum Laude Award.=)
